Credit card penetration is very low in Jordan and the Arab world, as such most e-commerce players in the region offer cash on deliver option to buy their products.
But to buy from Amazon you need a credit card, CashBasha comes to solve this problem, it promises to enable anyone to shop from Amazon, shipping cost and customs will be added and you can pay on cash.
The service is not yet launched, but it has a landing page where users can sign up to get notified once the service is launched, which is expected in around a week or so as Jordanian entrepreneur Fouad Jeryes cofounder of the site tells me. Sinan Taifour is the other cofounder he is from Syria living currently in Germany.
How the process will work?
You shop on the site and then pay on any Snax locations in Jordan or make a deposit to the company’s account at the bank and post the transaction ID that CashBasha gave you along with the deposit slip.
CashBasha will be available in Jordan at the first step and then other countries in the future.
Great idea, maybe in the near future as Amazon sees many orders coming from CashBasha that Amazon will offer CashBasha as a payment option for anyone.
